The first 10 minutes of this match was very cagey as both sides felt each other out but then after some neat interplay Ballyoulster United breached the Saints defence and fired past Lorenzo Labitan in goal.
However this seemed to sting the young Saints back to life and Wayne Fay scored with a classic goal poachers finish at the back post but Ballyoulster showed they were in no form to be denied and with two well taken goals that gave Lorenzo no chance went in at the break 3-1 to the good.
The second half started with the young Saints in the ascendency and after some good pressure Nathan Cleverdon took possession just outside the visitors box and after some neat footwork unleashed an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net using his less favoured left peg. However Ballyoulster regained their two goal advantage almost immediately from an incisive counter attack.
From then Ballyoulster United stamped their authority on the game scoring another three goals before the final whistle. St Mocthas as ever did not lie down but the visitors were in unstoppable form.
Lorenzo Labitan in goal pulled off some fine saves and his distribution as ever launched numerous Saints attacks.
In defence Aaron Lanigan, Daniel Smith, Alexandru Vilcu and Daniel Rotari competed for everything and played passing football when the opportunity arose. Daniel Smith anbd Aaron again made a number of fine forays forward also which created problems for the opposition.
In midfield Oliver Omidiran, Kyle McKeever, Nathan Cleverdon, Daniel Amar Bin Mohd Fuad and Robert Ungureanu battled valiantly today against what was a very very fine Ballyoulster midfield and produced so flowing passing moves which caused the opposition some problems and Nathan took his goal.
Up front Wayne Faye continued his fine scoring run with a consummate strikers finish and Odhran Kelly as ever was brave in leading the line.
This Ballyoulster United side are a fantastic footballing team and Mike and his coaching team should be very proud of their young charges.
So the lads return to training on Tuesday and as ever the lads and coaches will analyse this performance and will learn from this defeat. As ever you learn more from your defeats and this hard working squad will continue to develop and grow.
