Ryan Cullinan opened the scoring with a brilliant finish in the first half. Pat McDonnell's side had the majority of possession in the first half, the football was neat, tidy and the team were playing with plenty of confidence.
Paul Dactu made it 2-0 with an empathic finish and the Saints were in control. A defensive error was punished before half time and the home side pulled a goal back.
The Saints maintained the pressure in the second half and eventually the third goal arrived. Joshua Wanzio made it 3 - 1 with a beautiful finish after some excellent play by Gary Howard on the right. Ryan Cullinan secured a very neat brace with a lovely finish into the bottom corner 10 minutes later.
Shane Crawford's header form a corner struck the woodwork in the latter stages of the game. The woodwork came to the home sides rescue again, this time from Glen O' O'Donnell's magnificent free kick.
The Saints have picked up six points away from home winning both games. It's a very solid start for Pat McDonnell's team. The team are playing attractive football and are playing with plenty of confidence. So far, so good.
