However please note that the format for the U10’s & U11’s has been changed from the guidelines in the FAI plan booklet. It was agreed that the format for U10’s & U11’s should be similar to last season i.e. 7-a-side and not twin games of 7v7. Therefore the information on this format is correct in the attached information.
Please note that the U10’s league will be non-competition. However the U11’s league remains as competition for this season.
The main change for U12’s league is the introduction of Offside.
The FAI & DDSL wish to cut out the abuse & bad behaviour from some teams/players. Normal rules apply but team coaches should immediately substitute any player showing unacceptable behaviour.
Clubs must ensure the pitch is roped off where parents/spectators follow the ‘behind the line’ concept. All coaches & players….from both teams shall stand on the same side of the pitch…opposite to all the spectators.
At the start & end of every game, we encourage all team coaches & players to line up & shake hands with each other.
