LSL Division 1
Favourite TV show ?
Friends, it never gets old. Funniest character is Chandler, but Ross got great in later seasons. Oh, and definitely Rachel out of the girls.
Favourite cartoon as a kid ?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I used to think April O' Neill was decent.
Favourite movie ?
Man on Fire with Denzil Washinghton. Jim Carrey is always a good laugh though.
Favourite music ?
I listen to lots of different styles and types of music. RnB, Pop, Dance, or even some Frank Sinatra, depends on the mood.
Best dancer ?
I've not seen many lads bust a move in fairness. I hear Aaron is sniffing himself a bit after his Strictly adventure, hopefully we'll all have something to dance about in a couple of weeks. Let the dance off's begin !!!
A Place you would like most to visit ?
Chicago or the Maldives.
Best place you have been ?
I did a 3 week road trip with my brother a couple of years ago, starting in Washington DC all the way to San Francisco. Some great places in between, Dallas, San Diego, Memphis, and Las Vegas. A couple of great stories to go with it, but that's for another day..Haha !
Best player you shared a pitch with ?
I've been fortunate enough to share a pitch with a lot of great players. Two in particular that stand out for me are, Gaizka Mendieta and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Both when they played for Middlesbrough and I was at Huddersfield. They've both played at the highest level and for some of the best teams in the world, not to mention World Cups, Champions league finals etc. That was a great moment, I held my own too. Just for the record.. Haha ! The lads will cane me if I don't mention Mark Noble and Sir Trevor Brooking.
Go on, tell us more ?
We played West Ham in the 3rd round of the FA Youth Cup. Mark Noble was in midfield and he had a huge reputation at this stage, I happened to play really well, beat him to every header, second ball and tackle. We lost 1-0 but we were very unlucky on the night. Walking down the tunnel Sir Trevor Brooking approached me and said " There was only one Mark out there tonight". It was a nice moment for my personally even though we were beaten. The lads love to hear the story ! Iv'e had to share it with them on numerous occasions. Haha !
Funniest team mate ?
Billy loves a good joke. Especially if Dodgers on the end of it !
Biggest moaner ?
Definitely Karl. We're doing a whip around this week actually for a gag. All donations greatly received.
Best advice you ever received ?
You don't set out to build a wall, you don't say, " I'm going to build the biggest, greatest wall that's ever built". You don't start there, you say " I'm going to lay this brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid". You do this every day single day and soon you'll have your wall.
Your favourite ever game ?
Ireland v Italy, USA 94. A couple of light fittings got broke when the goal went in.
Best dressed team mate ?
Rumour has it, it's my title. But, I hear there's lads looking to challenge. I think Craig should give Aaron and Nathan their t -shirts and jeans back. He's a bit hairy for the 1D look at his age.
Person you most admire ?
My Dad, he's always been there to support and encourage me. All those lifts to training and matches when I was younger. Standing in the freezing cold supporting me. It's definitely not forgotten and much appreciated.
If you could be a spectator at one sporting event in history what would it be ?
The upcoming fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. I think Mayweather will win.
What's the funniest moment you've seen in football ?
We got the tea lady at Huddersfield to sow up one of the lads jeans. We said he ripped them, She didn't realise they cost a fortune and the rips were all the fashion back then. His face was priceless.
Favourite pundit Redknapp, Neville, Dave Barry ?
Jamie for his style. Dave Barry for knowing good players. Haha !
Most treasured possessions ?
My Ireland caps and jerseys. I was lucky enough to be capped from Under 14 all the way up Under 20's. Some great memories.
What memory stands out representing your Country ?
Standing for the National anthem in the team line up, that is a huge moment. I will never forget that. It's what you dream of as a young boy, I was lucky enough to do it many times. Playing for Brian Kerr in the Under 17 qualifiers against Germany, France and Slovakia was special. The trips away with the lads were special.
What aspect of the club do you like ?
The support and togetherness of the club. Best supporters in LSL by far.
If you could invite any five people to dinner who would they be ?
Leonardo Di Caprio, Will Smith, Al Pacino, Jim Carrey, Tom Hanks.
The greatest ever player ?
I think Messi, well for this generation of footballer. It would have been nice to see the old greats, the likes of Pele, Maradona, Best and not just from clips on TV.
Desert island companion ?
Margot Robbie from the Wolf of Wall Street.
