Under 13 NDSL A
Cameron Mulready opened the scoring with a beautiful finish after some good football by the home side. The Saints leading and playing with confidence continued to attack and look for the second goal. Rivervalley responded well and equalised just before half time with a great finish that left Saints goalkeeper Thomas Moran with no chance. Thomas is having a fantastic start to the season and he's playing with confidence and making some fine saves.
The second half started with both sides playing some nice football and looking for the important next goal. Luca Abadaladze restored the Saints lead when he was found with a nice through ball and scored with a composed finish. Bradley, Marvel, Dean and Edgar worked extremely hard with Saints Man of the Match Torin Wright who was exceptional. Rivervalley were caught out again when Abadaladze was found in space and he made it 3-1 with a brilliant ruthless finish. Rangers threw everything at the Saints and pulled a goal back with 10 minutes remaining. The Saints had to dig deep and battle hard as the away side searched for another equaliser. Some fantastic defending and good counter attacking football kept Rivervalley at bay and the Saints held on for a well deserved win.
It's a great result for the Saints and the team will be eager to build on this result.
The win takes the Saints up to sixth in the table with two games in hand over the new league leaders Malahide United.
