Our schoolboy section grows from strength to strength. I'm looking forward to watching the teams in action this season. Porterstown road is very busy on match day with a great buzz around the club. It's exciting times for our players and coaches who have graduated from our O Neills academy and they will all enjoy their debut season with the club.
It will be another hetic season and we look forward to work commencing on the new floodlit Astro pitch. This new facility, in our main complex on Porterstown Road, will be of huge benefit to the future development of all our schoolboy players. It's vital the club doesn't stand still and we continue to grow and develop.
Blanchardstown 4 x 4 are our new senior team sponsors and we would like to thank them for their much appreciated support. It's an exciting partnership that I'm sure will be very successful.
St. Mochta's FC like all sports clubs need support and I'd encourage parents to get involved with our fundraisers and help your club. Our popular Last Man Standing Competition returns this season, and it's sponsored by Westend Barbers. Barry in Westend Barbers is a fantastic supporter of the club and we thank him for his loyal support.
The Saints Academy is sponsored by O' Neills. St. Mochta's FC has a great relationship with the number 1 sports manufacturer in Ireland and we look forward to continuing this partnership. We have 18 schoolboy teams and two senior teams competing this season. Best of luck to all our teams and coaches, it promises to be another very exciting season in Porterstown Road.
In November we will be having a Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser. Strictly is a a very popular fundraising event and a brilliant night out. All the details will be soon on our website all social media formats.
St. Mochtas FC always welcomes new members and volunteers. If you are interested in assisting in the club in any way, please don't hesitate to contact us via www.stmochtasfc.com. We have a press night on Friday 22nd at 7.00 pm in the Clonsilla Inn. I hope you all come along to meet our members and sponsors and hear about all the latest developments in the club.
Finally, and most importantly, I hope that everyone enjoys their time with St. Mochta's FC this season. Whilst success on the pitch is what any club ultimately aims for, enjoyment is why we play, watch and become involved with football and enjoyment should be at the heart of every football club.
In this spirit I would ask everyone to invite all their friends and family to the club and help continue to make St. Mochta's FC a family friendly football club were everyone involved has a tremendous amount of fun.
Enjoy the football and season.
With best wishes,
Shane Nulty
