On our final day we had DJ Matt Munster entertaining everyone with his popular music and his fantastic enthusiasm. Our bouncy castle assault course was very popular with the children and most of them were exhausted, leaving Porterstown after a fun packed day. It's a huge operation to organize the mini league and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank some people. Thanks to all our members and volunteers who turned up night after night it's really appreciated. Our club can't function without volunteers giving up some of their valuable time. Thanks to all our referee's during the week who did a splendid job. Too many to mention but we really appreciate the job the lads have done. Thanks to our schoolboy secretary Jim Darcy for all his hard work. Also big thanks to Des Keogh for all the quality refereeing and all round hard work.
Our groundsmen have done a superb job all year and it's a lot of work to keep the pitches in perfect condition. Well done to Tony Smart, Ger Smart, Brian Mallon, Wayne Nulty, and Mick Gahan. Thanks to John Lawlor and Damien Kelly who ensured all the children were safe with so many cars passing through the club gates.
Our shop was extremely busy and Vinny, Jan and Trevor had a warm welcome for everyone every night and on a very busy final day. Thanks to our BBQ staff who kept everyone well fed with burgers and hot dogs. Well done, Tony, Patrick Jackie and Tina who did a superb job for the duration of the Mini Leagues. Thanks to Mark Kelly Alan Boxwell from Granby foods for sponsoring our delicious burgers and hot dogs.
A massive, thanks to Dave Reel and Robert Christopher for their efficiency and professionalism updating the scores and photos at the end of every night. The lads have captured the spirit of the mini leagues, with some beautiful photographs. Our website had over 7,000 hits for the duration of the Mini Leagues with over 4000 hits on the mini Leagues pages. Dave created the mini leagues pages on www.stmochtasfc.com and it can take hours of dedication to get the pages as professional looking as they did.
Our Mini Leagues get bigger and better each year and they are run by many club members and volunteers, but the man who has the biggest responsibility is Paul Atkinson. Paul has once again done a top class job. Paul is our chief mini leagues Organizer and on behalf of all the players, parents and everyone connected in St Mochta's FC, thank you Paul.
Finally, thank you to all the parents for registering with St Mochta's Fc and you should all be very proud of your children. The behaviour from every single child was exceptional for the duration of our Mini Leagues. Enjoy the rest of the summer and we look forward to seeing you all very soon.
